Top Instagrammable Spots Near Le Grand Rêve

The Halkidiki region is full of stunning scenery that is great for taking pictures, in addition to the comfort and charm of Le Grand Rêve.

Our peaceful pool and snug nooks are great for taking pictures, but if you go outside a little bit, you’ll find a lot of places that will make your Instagram account sing. Get your cameras ready! Here are some of the best sites to take pictures on Instagram that are very close to Le Grand Rêve.

Your postcard-perfect backyard is Gerakini Beach.

Let’s start with what’s just outside your door. Gerakini Beach is about 70 meters from Le Grand Rêve, and it has more than just a cool plunge. Picture golden dunes reaching out, with the Aegean’s soft waves kissing them.

The Glow of the Golden Hour

Without a sure, the ideal time to take pictures here is during golden hour, which is immediately before sunset. The soft, warm light gives the whole scene a lovely glow. It’s great for taking pictures of people in front of the bright sky or of the water’s small ripples. For a real Greek touch, look for the little fishing boats that are scattered along the shore.

Psakoudia Beach: A Bohemian Place with Clear Water

Psakoudia Beach is a short drive from Gerakini. It has a busy but relaxed vibe that is great for a variety of photos. Along this long, sandy coastline are beach bars and tavernas, each with its distinct style of design.

Get ready for summer

A lot of the beach bars have wooden swings or hammocks set up along the water’s edge, which is the perfect position to get that classic “feet in the sand, cocktail in hand” photo. The water here is very clean and turquoise, which makes it great for underwater photography provided you have the right gear. You may also just show off the Aegean’s bright blue color.

The Old Village of Nikiti: Stone Streets and Ageless Beauty

Visit the historic village of Nikiti on the western side of the Sithonia peninsula and step back in time. This lovely village is very different from the beach scenery. It has typical stone cottages, tiny cobbled streets, and bright bougainvillea.

Flowered balconies and rustic doors

Walk along the twisting streets and find many beautiful places. Look for bright blue doors against old stone buildings, bougainvillea hanging down from balconies, and cute small churches. The colors and textures here make a great background for portraits or close-up images of buildings. For a real feel, get a coffee at one of the small, traditional cafes.

Elia Beach: Where Pine Trees Meet the Sea

Elia Beach, which is further south on Sithonia, is recognized for its unique setting where dense pine trees meet the sea. This makes a beautiful contrast in color and gives you shade.

Views Framed by Trees

Look for a place where the pine trees frame the view of the water. This will make a natural vignette for your pictures. The water here is beautiful and tranquil, which makes it great for taking pictures of reflections, especially in the early morning or late afternoon. The trees’ soft greens and the sea’s blues mix for a wonderfully distinctive color scheme.
