Gerakini
At the beginning of the last century, Gerakini was a small settlement of the workers of the mine in the area but now, it is an excellent summer holiday destination in Halkidiki.
It is located in the ideal location in Sithonia, so except from the wonderful beach, you can do tours to beautiful places at the peninsula of Sithonia and Kassandra.
Gerakini, praised by the great Greek poet, Nikos Kavvadias, who visited her in one of his boats, is waiting for you mainly for family vacations.
Sithonia
Sithonia, the second peninsula of Halkidiki, is located between the peninsulas Kassandra and Mount Athos. Sithonia is surrounded by the Toronean Gulf at the east side and the Singitic Gulf at the west. From the airport of Thessaloniki it takes approximately one hour to reach the Sithonia peninsula by car.
Sithonia was named after Sithonas, son of Poseidon (Poseidon is in Greek mythology the god of the sea)
Small harbors with fishing boats are added to the endless charm of the Sithonia peninsula. The dense forests alternate with olive groves and picturesque meadows, making Sithonia one of the most beautiful nature reserves in Greece.
Among the most interesting places to visit in Sithonia is the village of Parthenonas. It is located on the slopes of Mount Itamos and has stone houses, taverns, a museum, sea views and beautiful sunsets. It is 40 km from our complex and access is very easy.
